Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026
Sexually explicit, adult and NSFW content is strictly prohibited on PromptCanvas.
This rule has no exceptions. Prompts and negative prompts that request this material are rejected by automated content moderation before an image is generated, and no credits are charged.
1. Prohibited content
You may not use PromptCanvas to create, request or upload:
- Sexually explicit or pornographic images, including depictions of sexual acts, exposed genitalia, or erotica.
- Nudity, partial nudity or sexually suggestive imagery of any person.
- Sexual fetish content, including BDSM, bondage and voyeuristic or upskirt imagery.
- Any sexual content involving minors. This is child sexual abuse material, is illegal everywhere, and will be blocked and reported to the relevant authorities.
- Non-consensual sexual content, including deepfakes or sexualised depictions of real people without their consent.
- Bestiality, necrophilia, or any other sexual content involving coercion or incapacity.
- Graphic violence, gore, mutilation, or content celebrating serious harm to people or animals.
- Content that promotes or instructs on illegal activity, or that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
2. Automated content moderation
Content moderation is mandatory on every request. Each prompt and negative prompt is screened server-side before a generation job is created. Requests that match a prohibited category are refused with a PROMPT_BLOCKED error, are not sent to the image model, and never consume credits. Attempts to evade moderation — including leetspeak, character separators, or obfuscated spelling — are also detected.
The underlying image models apply their own safety filters in addition to ours. If a provider rejects a prompt, the generation fails and your credit is refunded automatically.
3. Enforcement
We may suspend or permanently terminate any account that attempts to generate prohibited content, and we may remove the associated images. Repeated or severe violations — in particular any sexual content involving minors — are reported to law enforcement and to the relevant child protection authorities.
4. Reporting
To report content that breaches this policy, email support@promptcanvas.org with the link to the image and a short description. Reports are reviewed the same day.
This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It may be updated from time to time; the date above is always the current version.
